No time no see

We have been looking forward to spending some time with my brother Hans and his family.   They were here for two weeks.  We had such a great time with them.  After not seeing them for 4 years the kids made instant friends.  Eli and Tyler were great buddies.  We had MEA break while they were visiting so that worked out great with the kids' school scheldule.

Us at the Science museum.  Eli is so interested in the exhibits.  It was hard to pull him away when everyone was ready to move one.

After the museum Alicia and Tyler came home with me and had a sleep over.  I had fun having them and being able to get to know them better.
Thursday Oct 20 started our 4 day family reunion.  We went swimming at the Shoreview Community Center.    It was a lot of fun but cowded.  Then everyone came over to our house for yummy chalupa's .  That night we drove down to my parents.  My parents friends were out of town, so Roxann's family and ours stayed there.  It was so nice to stay there as we were able to stay up late and play games with the family and had to only travel a few minutes to be "home." It has been a long time since we have played games as adults.

Family tradition dictated that we had to go to the apple orchard.  At the orchard, there's an overlook were you can watch the machines sort the apples.  The workers started to it up and explained it to the kids, just for our family.  The boys were so amazed.  When we got in the car they couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was.

3 year old cousins picking apples.
Ande was sick while we were having all of our fun.
Fire time.  We had hot dogs on the fire for dinner and smores.
Saturday Alicia was baptized.  It was so neat to watch her get baptized.  She is such a sweet girl.
Sunday after church we had Thanksgiving dinner.  It has been so much fun to be with the whole family.
Friday before Hans's family left they came to our house.  Ethan wanted to take them to the park and show them his skateboarding moves.  Here's the girls at the park.  After dinner we had a lego building contest.
We had fun spending time with the Hans and his family.  I love the comment Ethan made, "Our cousins talk different than us.  They kind of talk like the Harry Potter characters."
We love you Hans, Lorelei, Alicia, Tyler, Eliza  and Levi.
