So, we decided to explore a new park. Ethan, Eli and Ande were having fun on a modified teeter totter type thing. Well, Ande got off, then walked toward the ride and "wack," she got hit directly in the face. She suddenly started screaming. Next came the blood. The ride hit her directly on the front tooth. Eventually the bleeding stopped and she calmed down. We decided we would just let it be and watch it for a couple days, since we didn't have a dentist yet. The next day she yanked on it, mading it really loose and it started to bleed a lot. I am not good when my kids bleed. Thankfully Jason pulled in a couple of minutes later. We got a hold of our Dentist in Shakopee. He said we had to pull it. Wow that was hard and dramatic. I had to hold her down and it took Jason 4 tries to get it out. Jason said that was one of the hardest thing his has done. Soon after Ande was very happy. We did find a dentist to make everything was O.K with her mouth. He said everything looked great. Ande did a great job at the dentist. Her tooth won't come back in until she is 6 or older. For now she has a cute hole in he mouth when she smiles.
We have been wanting to get her to stop sucking her fingers. Jason told her he would take her on a date to get a treat if she did her best not to suck her fingers for 5 days. She did a really good job. At times it was hard cause she couldn't figure out how to sooth herself. I do see her sucking her fingers while she is sleeping. But over all she has done great. She went on her date and had a lot a fun, except for the fact that she could not eat any of the treat because her loose tooth (that is the now missing tooth) was hurting too much. I love how simple things can motive kids.
