Ethan's Bapitism

When it was getting close to Ethan's baptism I kept thinking, "I am not old enough to have a 8 year old."  I guess we are all getting older around here.  Ethan is growing up to such a great young man.  Ethan has been so excited to get baptized.  It has been real important to him.  He has set a great example for his siblings, cousins and friends.

Ethan Baptism was so neat.  He was bapitized in the Shoreview Ward.  Since we had just moved, he wanted to make sure that some of his Prior Lake friends came.  We had such good support from the Prior Lake Ward.  The Olson's, Croshaw's, Engstand's(Ethan's old teacher),Wilson(old Prior Lake friends), Humpries and our neighbors Neil and Will came.  We had a lot of family also: Roxann's family, both grandparents, Landon, Dave and Chris (who drove all the way from Utah!).  From the Shoreview Ward, his teacher Sister McWilliams, Sister Johnston, Brother Madeux, Brother Nels and  Bishop Anderson were there.
We let Ethan pick pick his program.  He choose both of his grandpa's to speak.  They did a wonderful job.  He chose his favorite primary songs, "If I listen With My Heart" and "Priase to the Man".  The spirit was so strong at the bapitism.  What a speacial experience to watch one of your own childern get bapitized.
Afterward people came over.  We had a fire, ate smores and drank Jason's home made root beer.  However, our little social did not last too long cuz the bug were biting like crazy.

Congrats Ethan on a wonderful day!
