Jason's new truck

Catastrophic News!!!!

Jason, my dearly beloved husband, has just had a major accident on his bicycle as he was traveling to work. A car jumped off the side of the road, onto the sidewalk and skimmed both of his kneecaps, disabling his knees from pedaling. Thus, in desperation we have broken down and rapidly purchased a second vehicle to save his job. Certainly Jason will miss the biking to work days (which he did for over a year, even in -30 degree temperature), we will miss the challenging task of trying to coordinate rides, and Ethan and Eli will miss the open garage space, but it is all in an attempt to provide for the family (although both Eli and Ethan believe that Jason does not have to work due to the fact that Jason "stole" 47 cents from Ethan when he took money to reimburse a purchase that Ethan did not have the money for).

Below you will find pictures of the rust bucket that we were able to find in a quick dash for a cheep car...
BREAKING NEWS...

Apparently the aforementioned story was all a ploy to convince me (Sarah) that Jason needed a truck. Really, he just did not want to bike between two schools on a very busy highway. Don't worry, his kneecaps are perfectly fine. He was able to use all convincing power to purchase the truck, such as secretly paying my mother to say that this truck had "Jason" written all over it and bribing Ethan with candy to jump for joy over the little kid seats in the extended cab. (Actually, my mom just liked it and Ethan kept saying over and over that we should buy the truck, especially for the seats in the back. He has figured out that we can use this as a family vehicle, but we would just have to leave Ande home -- something that he has been OK with at times).

So, we got the truck. Its a 1999 Ford Ranger, XLT, V6 4X4 purchased from a certified mechanic for a very low price. It does have a lot of miles, but it runs great and has many more miles in it. Jason is extremely excited over it and sometimes can be found just sitting inside his truck. One thing for sure, life will now be a bit simpler with two cars.

P. S. This entire script was authored by Jason - ha, ha got ya!

  1. Cool truck man... I am glad you won't get run over again on your bike.
